Stephanie Morris developed her love of origami at an early age, when living in Japan for two years as a child. She was able to continue and extend her interest when a teacher with Japanese heritage at her primary school in Stock-upon-Tees encouraged her to continue folding, and at the age of 12 Mary entered the all-England under 18s National Origami Championship, becoming the youngest National Champion at the time, and gaining the coveted Tengichiwa Paper Art prize. She has demonstrated her work at numerous festivals and events both in the UK and overseas, and regularly give workshops on Origami and displays her creations at exhibitions in both Europe and Japan.
